PaulsonLaw 0 Posted January 7, 2012 http://ubnt.com/toughcable From the site, we ordered 2 boxes of TC-L2. I didn't mention in other post we are also crossing right on top of an in-ground dog fence 3x, let alone the other issues w/ the cat 5, & distance. This company assured great performance so we shall see.... * ESD Drain Wire Both TOUGHCable models have an integrated ESD Drain wire to prevent ESD attacks & damage. * Anti-Crosstalk Divider Divider inside the inner core separates the wire pairs to reduce cross talk (NEXT). [Level 2 only] * Multi-Layered Shielding Multi-layered design enables TOUGHCables to withstand harsh weather and heavy use. * ToughCable Connectors Use ToughCable with Ubiquiti ToughCable Connectors (sold separately)
hardwired 0 Posted January 7, 2012 Good cable, crappy box. Be careful with the box, or it will fall apart. Did you get the shielded connector ends, as well?
PaulsonLaw 0 Posted January 7, 2012 No, using the 2 post bnc baluns<? The price wasn't that much more than stp cat5. I paid 373 for 2 boxes tax & ship. I only hope I can get 3 lines into a 3/4" conduit! Geez what a day, dug, buried & laid 750' of conduit & 14/2 w/ a friend and a shovel!

I hope you tried to create as much separation between the 14/2 and conduit as possible (bury the 14/2, add some dirt, then the conduit)... The three cables should be fine in 3/4" if you don't have too many bends in it. Use pulling lube.
PaulsonLaw 0 Posted January 8, 2012 No 90 turns except the risers. the 14/2 is right outside 50% of the conduit, but I spoke w/ wires tech & they assure no issues there for the watts I'll be pulling...
