mavla 0 Posted January 11, 2012 Hey guys, I'm new to the whole world of CCTV/DVR, and was able to successfully set up my 8CH H.264 DVR and connect it via Video Viewer and an ethernet cable to another computer. However, I have been trying to configure the Eagle Eyes for Android application so that I might view my security system at all times. While I was successful in connecting to the DVR via Eagle Eyes while on the same wifi network as the DVR, I am unable to connect to the DVR while on the 3g network. I heard mention that this may require port forwarding; if so, what ports need to be forwarded in order to allow 3g access to the DVR? Or, could it perhaps be that the IP I've been entering into Eagle Eyes is an internal IP address and therefore only works on the local wifi network but not on 3g? If so how would I find the proper external/WAN address to enter into Eagle Eyes in order to successfully access the DVR via 3g? My apologies for the block of text, I hope that this all makes sense and that I am able to find some assistance here on these forums. Thank you
