mpovolo 0 Posted January 16, 2012 Apparently there are some that you can http to and get a static image of any camera. There would be a slightly different url for each camera. Anyone seen any, so far I have tried three different ones and appreantly they dont support it. thanks

Not really sure if I need to set something up specific to make it work.

tomcctv 190 Posted January 22, 2012 hi. i see what you are trying to do. the way the links are work for you and you are seeing if the /mobile side works for your dvr. sorry i thought you was asking for a dvr that does it (thats way i pasted the aver) no the /mobile will not work for you. can you name your dvr ??. if your dvr supports mobile viewing via the synbian then you can try and break down the java stream. mpovolo 0 Posted January 23, 2012 I am asking for a DVR that will allow me from a PC, enter into a browser a URL that will go into the DVR and give me a digital still of one of the cameras.
shockwave199 0 Posted January 23, 2012 (edited) Sounds like you want to take a snapshot of any cameras channel hooked up the dvr while either in activex web application or CMS remote software for the dvr. I'm gonna guess they all do this. For my qsee dvr, within the activex web application and CMS you can take a snapshot of anything live on a channel, as well as during playback. I would think most, if not all remote capable dvr's support that. If...that's what you mean. Edited January 23, 2012 by Guest

There would be a slightly different url for each camera ok that not what you asked for in your first post. (but you stll can print.) just save image. I am asking for a DVR that will allow me from a PC, enter into a browser a URL that will go into the DVR and give me a digital still of one of the cameras. this is on most good DVR/NVRs just look for snap shot function
mpovolo 0 Posted January 23, 2012 Thanks all for your help but I am not explaining properly. I have a home automation system that allows me to use IP cameras. The setup is quite simple, you provide the IP of the camera and the URL for streaming images. The home automation just pulls digital stills from that URL. I should be able to do the same with certain DVR's, where I again enter the IP of the DVR and a URL for streaming images. I have seen some people successfully do it with a particular Q-See, SVATT at one time allowed it but not on their newer DVR's. I have no clue how this actually works, I do know that it should work if I can use a PC browser such as IE and enter in the specific URL, if I get a single picture back, it works. Last I also heard Nuvico allows it. thanks all
SEANHAWG 1 Posted January 23, 2012 You could set up the images to be sent via an FTP account. Are you looking for the images to be stored somewhere?
tomcctv 190 Posted January 23, 2012 IP of the camera and the URL for streaming images ok two more for you to try. see if any work. http://remote.aver.com/mobile/channel1.html http://remote.aver.com/mobile/channel1.jpg and you should get both like this.
