avtech dvr kpd675 remote viewing - blank screen

Recommended Posts

hi all,

just purchased a avtech dvr675, all temporarily wired up and connected. however when i try to do any form of remote viewing all i get is a blank screen where the stream should be.

initially i tried it on my phone and although my phone connects to the avtech and displays the 4 channels on screen, no picture is displayed in any of the 4 boxes. So i installed videoviewer on my laptop and same again it recognizes the box and i can even control the avtech-dvr from the software but cannot seem to get any video stream from it. So having tried both my phone and windows i know its not related to anything im doing but moreso something with the avtech dvr itself

the unit itself is fine and gives a picture from the cam connected to it however any form of remote accessing and i dont get a picture. Was hoping if somebody could help as to where im going wrong or have i got a faulty box.

Hi Avtechuser,

I also had problems with my KPD-675 DVR, but I managed to make it work, although it resets power from time to time and Ihave not figured out yet why . The blank screen yoou mention

maybe because of the dvr going into reset state. Check the log

and if you see a report with "Power On" it means that it tries to reboot. Apart from remote connection either from mobile or laptop

have you tried local connection output to a TV screen . Has it worked well then ?

I use Eagle-Eye software with mobile and I used to do just a

http connection from an IE , using the internal web server software of KPD , it worked but also I tried the VideoViewer which also worked BUT as I told you it is frequent that power reset happens so during that time the returned screen is blank with

the Loading circle in it.

thanks for the advice. finally have managed to connect the box to my tv and wire up. oddly enough it works know and i do get a picture on my phone. only issue know is that it only works when i use it with wifi inside my house.

if i try remote viewing via my phones internet it doesnt work and shows invalid ip. so i guess i need to change some settings on my router right?

hello, having the same problem but with Eagle eye, can i ask how you have it setup to work? i have tried static ip, pppoe and dchp all setup correctly. Eagle eye only works with the wifi and not on the mobile network when im out.

Many thanks
