hwidney 0 Posted January 25, 2012 i have a 9 channel h264 standalone dvr. I can access the dvr remotely via the Internet. And I can playback, search and record remotely. However, I would like to save the video (or even just snapshots) in real time to a remote site (among other things, would like to keep from losing the record of a break in/theft were someone to take the dvr). Understand that one option is just to continuously record the avi file at remote location but that would require having remote computer running full time, and I would rather not do that. I was hoping the dvr software would have some sort of option for sending snapshots to a url but I did not find anything like that in the manual. Neither do I see any option to send a live feed out to a separate location (I was thinking that maybe I could send a feed through my network cabling to a hard drive in a different, more secure on-site location, but don't see how to do that either. Is there 3rd party software that might do what I want to do? Or another way to approach it? Thank you very much.
rory 0 Posted January 25, 2012 Depends what DVR it is. Some let you record motion events off-site instead of constant record, or email / ftp images.
hwidney 0 Posted January 25, 2012 I believe it is an Eyemax h264 standalone dvr.
