Integraoligist 0 Posted January 28, 2012 I was looking at this camera, it's a 2MP unit: http://heivision.com/goods.php?id=121 Is it missing anything? It uses NVS Center software... anyone have experience with that software? Quality/features? It has 6, 8, or 12mm lenses... being 2mp would the highest (12mm) lens be the correct way to go? Thanks again all!
Integraoligist 0 Posted January 29, 2012 was able to find a live demo on their site here http://heivision.com/demos.php Looks like it's a feed out of NYC. They have a 6mm and 12mm feed. Is this a normal looking feed for 2mp cameras? Or are the high quality brands much better, like Vivotek? Thanks!
tomcctv 190 Posted January 29, 2012 hi. i cant find anyone that has them listed on there IP list. so if you intend on just using there software and only there cameras then yes. but putting all your money into 1 bag is never good.
Integraoligist 0 Posted January 29, 2012 what do you mean by only using their software and cameras? What other programs can you use different cameras on other then the manufacturers of the software itself?

brantz 0 Posted November 20, 2012 Hi - I have a Heivision HE6802SID and I want to point a viewer at it. I've tried the usual URL approach of rtsp://user:password@Camera_IP_Address but this doesn't work. I'm doing it on a LAN so there are no firwall or routing issues. I've sent e-mails to Heivision but so far they haven't offered any help and there is nothing useful in the manual on this. Does anyone have a list of working URL commands to get RTSP, MJPG and JPG snapshot frames for these casmeras? I'm trying to put these into apps like WebCamsXP, LiveCams Pro, etc... Thanks! buellwinkle 0 Posted November 20, 2012 Low light capability in their demo video's is far from impressive. I would not buy cameras where I don't have a choice of what NVR software works and if you have a specific use case like POS, then it's even more critical to have choices. You can find out if this is a generic brand made in China and OEM'ed to several companies where maybe you get support for the camera in NVR software by another name. If you want lower priced more popular brands, check out Geovision, ACTi, Vivotek that will have broader 3rd party software support. Also, Axis has a huge assortment of cameras in all price ranges and is probably the brand just about all software works with.
