RJMNYC 0 Posted January 29, 2012 I am installing Everfocus EZ650 cameras and I purchased a test monitor that also supplies 12V of power which I am thinking may not work. Does anyone know of a test monitor or maybe just a 24VAC battery that would power these cameras? I was even thinking of getting a small UPS and plugging a transformer into it with an extention cord. Thanks! http://everfocus.com/downloads/manuals/ez650_manual.pdf AC24V: camera: 5W camera+heater: 11.5W camera + int. IR: 12.7W camera + int. Soundy 1 Posted January 29, 2012 maybe just a 24VAC battery No such thing. I was even thinking of getting a small UPS and plugging a transformer into it with an extention cord. A more "portable" option is something like this:
hardwired 0 Posted January 29, 2012 You can use a 12VDC battery into one of these http://www.powerstream.com/inv-12dc-24vac.htm for 24VAC, 40 Watt output. It's a pretty expensive option, though.
Soundy 1 Posted January 29, 2012 Wow, that is a little spendy... the units above can be found for $100 or less and give you a 12V output as well as jump-starter AND they include the battery!
RJMNYC 0 Posted January 30, 2012 I think the Duracell Powepack is an excellent idea but I am leaning towards the 300 watt model. It wieghs only 15 pounds vs 27 pounds for the 600 series and I think it should be enough for a 10 camera installation. Maybe I should return that 2.5" LCD tester for a 5" model. http://www.duracellpower.com/documents/tech-specs/DS20070621_duracell-pp300.pdf Thanks for your suggestions! SDM Group 0 Posted January 30, 2012 Try the Xantrex DC POWERPACK-400 Watt Inverter, they make the Duracell model
Soundy 1 Posted January 30, 2012 Oh yeah, I was only suggesting that TYPE or unit, not that one specifically. That was just a good picture I found
