scottj 0 Posted August 28, 2005 I have never heard of it called the GV-MP4, wow..something new daily. The GV-900 does not support the addition of the Hybrid card. We tried it just to see, and experience video freezing on channels 4, 8,12,and 16..This tells me that either the encoder chip or the PCI bridge chip is different possibly. To be perfectly honest, the Hybrid card does not add enough quality to be worth the added expense. scott

rory 0 Posted August 29, 2005 I though that Hybrid card was supposed to run on its own ... 4 channel real time record and display hardware compression, so you add up to 32 channels ..
sal 0 Posted September 1, 2005 the hbrid card is only worthwhile when the user needs DVD quality and viewable recordings...however, it is awful on conservation of storage space It is Mpeg2, not Mpeg4 or H264 It works with everything except the GV-900 series Geovision will over a H264 codec (software based) soon with verision 7.
andy 0 Posted September 24, 2005 The GV-MP4 card is not out yet. But, it's not H.264. It's regular MPEG4. Don't know if it will work with the GV900 or not, but the Hybrid card doesn't work with the 900 or 250.
