Hitachi KP-DE500 Ultra High Sensitivity Camera.

 

The sensitivity threshold for commercial ½” CCD cameras may have been set by the Hitachi KP-DE500 which uses the Ultra High Sensitivity EM-CCD image sensor with thermoelectric cooling. Cost: approx. $6320 US (plus lens)
