Avtech AVC 798BD vs other brand D1

Recommended Posts

I'm currently using Avtech AVC798BD with avtech KPC139E camera .

I'm not satisfy with the resolution image of the KPC139E camera.KPC139E camera resolution is 520 TVline.

I'm planing to upgrade the dvr brand that support D1 recording.

If i upgrade to D1 supporting dvr, will get any image resolution improvement ?

One more thing is, the Avtech AVC798BD dvr why did not support 2 or 3 month even play back?

I'm using 2 TB HDD for that dvr. How to view 2 or 3 month even that stored at that HDD?

Your AVC798BD supports D1 recording, but only at 7.5 fps. I always choose a lower frame rate and higher resolution if quality matters at all. You also want to set it for the best quality to see how it does.

If your camera live view looks much better than your recordings, then yes, D1 recording will give you better quality. If the live view doesn't look good, the camera may be the problem.

Better quality takes up more space and reduces the number of hours you can record, as does higher frame rates. If this is an h.264 only recorder, you have to trade off frame rate, resolution, and compression quality against the number of hours.
