rory 0 Posted March 12, 2006 I dont know the DVR personally, but look for the HTTP server part and make sure it is turned on and using port 80. Also, some ISPs block port 80, so if it is port 80, also try switching it to port 81. I also take it that Windows Firewall is turned off? Rory
urubullino 0 Posted March 12, 2006 I changed to 81, on DVR software. Windows firewall is down
rory 0 Posted March 12, 2006 I can telnet that port 81 now, but I dont think that is the HTTP server ... Is there anything that says HTTP server or similar ..? Rory

rory 0 Posted March 12, 2006 maybe you just have to restart the DVR software .. seems like IE is finding the server but no web page ... I get the page cannot be displayed error page. Rory
rory 0 Posted March 12, 2006 still no page ... but it is connecting as with Telnet it connects and also IE goes there straight away, just has no page to display like it is missing. Perhaps uncheck use the default web page, click ok and restart, then check it again and restart again ...? Can you access it in IE locally, either on the LAN or on the DVR itself ...? urubullino 0 Posted March 12, 2006 (edited) ok, unchecked "use default web page" > restarted > checked "use default web page" > restarted. I can see it on IE. look the pic: Edited March 12, 2006 by Guest

rory 0 Posted March 12, 2006 yeah, i dont mean the DVR software, something like VNC which allows Adminstration of the PC, to check for other things that maybe blocking access. For example, is there anything else running on the DVR PC? Looking for something that is blocking access. Rory

rory 0 Posted March 14, 2006 didnt log back on yet ... his ISP seems to be blocking port 80, and the software just hangs when you try to change the port ... even with everything closed (it also seems to be a home PC). I have the manual now i just havent had the chance to look at it yet .. ..
