shanef 0 Posted February 17, 2012 Hi all, I am installing a Axis Q1755 into a Pelco Esprit pan/tilt. I am using the Q1755 to drive the pan/tilt via RS422, the problem I am running into is that the esprit will not move unless it receives an analog video signal from the camera at the bottle. Is there anyway to trick the esprit into thinking that it has a analog camera in it? Any input would be greatly appreciated....
shanef 0 Posted February 17, 2012 Never mind, I figured it out.... I just had to send the RS422 signal back down the coax and it worked....
grandbleu 0 Posted October 31, 2012 Wow, that is exactly what I was thinking of doing.... So how did you solve it? using an external coxitron control from a Pelco matrix? or using the serial command and sending the analog out to the esprit ? I am going to try this type of implementation next week, I know Axis has their own pan/tilt head, but we already have some of the esprit from Pelco, and they have proven themselves as very reliable for many years... I am still scratching my head trying to figure how to get an IP connecting in the camera housing.
