Hikvision recording on SD card

Hello

 

i have hikvision DS-2CD753f-E 2mpix ip camera and a scandisk 8Gb sd card

 

i cant make the camera to record on the SD card

 

can anybody show me how it is done??

I haven't done it to SD, but to NFS but it's tricky in that you have to get all the pieces to puzzle correctly, so patience is the key.

If you insert an sd card, it should be the same as the nfs setup, format it and away you go.

Look at my article called "Hikvision’s Built-in NVR Like Capabilities", it goes through the screens, steps you need to make it work.

Power the camera off, insert the card, then go to that storage screen, the size of the SD card should be listed and need to be formated.

 

I don't think SXSD cards will work, so the max is 32GB.

I have got a Hikvision DS-2CD2532F-IWS and I get the same issue that nothing is recorded on the SD. I can see the SD and that Space is available. I have tried to follow the steps at http://www.NetworkCameraCritic.com but still no success. Any idea of what I can try to do?

I thought I had everything set up on mine as far as storage and events go, but it turns out you have to check the "Trigger Channel" box on the Events tab.

 

It took me awhile to figure that out. There's no documentation about that in Hikvision user manual I found online for my cameras.
