you can also buy them with a HHD fitted

 

but im also wondering if i use a USB external HDD it would be more secure as you can locate it somewhere hidden

 

(most thiefs would probably just pull all the cables out and not realise that a USB cable is going to another HHD and not your computer etc?)

if they pulled the cables out while burgling the property, then no images would be displayed anyway.

You could buy the DVR from any supplier, just make sure that it's PAL and not NTSC. As singapore uses PAL for viewing. and for Hard Disk part. It's better to get a 24/7 hard disk. Try not to get a normal hard disk for computer. It will fails within a short time.
