PaulsonLaw 0 Posted February 29, 2012 Bad lightning this morning, laying in bed & CRACK! the power didn't go down, but checked the laptop & the whole Zmodo was down! Went up the the main house & all was dead, opened the panel & the GFI was tripped. Flipped it & everything powered back up, all cams functioning fine... Come daylight can clearly see the paint missing on-top of the pole closest in line to the system. Each pole runs 120 underground to the connection box..... Point is, ALWAYS USE A GFI! It can save a ton of headache & money & worth the $40 bucks.
Soundy 1 Posted March 1, 2012 Outdoor outlets should all be on GFI anyway - electrical code.
