Can you clarify that statement? I'm not quite grasping what it means. Thanks, Jason
jtetterton 0 Posted March 8, 2012 Short indoor sample video.. not much going on except the cat moving around, checking thing out as normal. xlpOctd3VN4 Zoomed all the way out, low light: Zoomed all the way out, normal light: Zoomed all the way out, no light, IR on: Zoomed all the way in (12mm), low light, the door in the center is 19 feet from the camera: Zoomed all he way in (12mm), normal light: Zoomed all the way in (12mm), IR on:
jtetterton 0 Posted March 8, 2012 One thing I really like about this camera is the OSD controls, they are located on the cable, about 36 inches from the camera. Very convenient.. with my CNB's, my body usually gets in the way when using the OSD.
nDAlk90 0 Posted March 8, 2012 Have you liked the camera so far?
jtetterton 0 Posted March 8, 2012 Haven't used it in a live environment yet, but it looks good so far. I'm going to install this one at my firehouse overlooking the ATM for a week or so to see how well it performs. Jason
nDAlk90 0 Posted March 8, 2012 Your firehouse has a ATM? What for? Haven't used it in a live environment yet, but it looks good so far. shockwave199 0 Posted March 8, 2012 Huh- not sure about that camera. Maybe you don't have it setup really? Maybe a quick demo in a temporary spot? Looks good in natural light, terrible with interior lights on, not great with IR's on.
jtetterton 0 Posted March 8, 2012 The low light pic isn't natural light, it's from a CFL lamp about 8 feet to the left of the FOV. I'm going to try and get some daytime outside video tomorrow. And as far as the settings, I'm still learning about all of the different available settings on different cameras, so I very well could have it setup wrong. Did you ever get the outside shots, and which do you like better CNB or QVIS?
jtetterton 0 Posted March 13, 2012 I kinda gave up on the camera to be honest... I installed it at the ATM, i'll grab a video next time I'm at the fire house. I don't think it's worth what I paid. With my limited experience, I prefer CNB.
jtetterton 0 Posted March 14, 2012 I talked to Sean and he says they are decent cameras, that they sometimes need a little tweaking to get a good picture as the default settings can be weird sometimes. I'll play with it some more and see what I can come up with. Here is a pitch black night shot of the cat wandering around. tvTXyvNrJ9I Trying to pull a clip from the FD last night of it in action on the ATM. Can't get my geovision remote viewlog to cooperate :-\
jtetterton 0 Posted March 14, 2012 In place shot, seems to be an issue with it though.. I'll have to check into it. Sn26QO9bL3E
SEANHAWG 1 Posted March 15, 2012 Hi Jason, In your second video, you have a color rolling issue due to the certain type of lighting. Within the menu, there is a setting called "Anti CR" which will take care of that issue. Also, maybe its just me, but that same video appears to be slightly out of focus. jtetterton 0 Posted March 15, 2012 I've been focusing with my iPhone Bought an RF modulator for my old 13 inch tv set until I can get something fancier, will refocus and check out the anti-cr deal next week. Thanks. Jason
SEANHAWG 1 Posted March 15, 2012 Hi Jason, No need for a modulator if your TV has an RCA video input. You just need one of these: I'll send you one tomorrow.
jtetterton 0 Posted March 15, 2012 No RCA inputs . It's about 15 years old.

jtetterton 0 Posted March 16, 2012 Yep, stamped 1996 on the back.. my first color TV! I was 13 and Santa left it for me that year
SEANHAWG 1 Posted March 16, 2012 Cool. I got my childhood TV up here at my warehouse too. It came a few years earlier, but I guess this one was high tech back then because it has RCA inputs on it. Those little 13" TV's are great for analog cameras though.
