Uranium-235 0 Posted March 6, 2012 Hello, I'm a computer tech for a guy who had a security company (who is no longer around) build this security box for him with a GV-650S, he originally had 8.01, and starting a few weeks ago it would "loose watchdog process", eventually more and more every day. After it lost the process 3 times, I would hear a little relay click and windows would start to reboot. I realized this was the hardware reboot relay, not sure why it just started doing this. Some of you might have an idea, dosen't matter cause now its fixed. This guy never got a 'barcode' from the security company so I could not request a update from geovision, but I managed to torrent 8.5.0, which fixed THAT problem one thing he REALLY loved is the idea of I-view. He has an iphone and ipad. One problem is it can view previous footage, but not the DVR, it would try to connect and evetually say "connection failed" when I tried to access it with 3G. I COULD access it on lan (with the iphone/ipad connected to his wireless) directly with the systems IP The router is a D-link and i'm forwarding port 8866, 5511, and 80, I can hit the http from 3G (or any other internt connection) too. I used a port checker and all ports are open, even tried the 'virtual server' thing and got the same result, only the other function of I-view (I forget what its called) works, but the DVR always gives me a connection failure. if it was a version problem, I would not think I could hit it from lan with no problems any ideas? I emailed geovision with an explanation as to why I can't 'request' the latest version, but have yet to hear back from them
ilkevinli 0 Posted March 6, 2012 You need to forward more ports. 4550 (Command) and 5550 (Data)
