bojan 0 Posted March 6, 2012 Hi, Hope that someone can help me with those cameras. We've just purchased 3 of those cameras from US to replace Aus delivered Pacom PTZ (PAL cameras). Althought they look the same and fits same housing, problem we had is in that US Costar CDC2500HX runs only in NTSC. Our system supports either PAL or NTSC, but not mixed. There is a switch on the camera that supposed to switch from NTSC to PAL, but it doesn't seem to have any effect. In either posittion PAL/NTSC SW4 (DP2 on or off) will not make any difference. We tried to do the same with Aussie rebadged Pacom cameras switching it to NTSC with no luck. PACOM Camera stays PAL . There must be something else in addition to simple dip switch or function has been disabled/locked. Does anyone knows if it is possibile to run those cameras on PAL and how. I hope someone saves me from major hassle. Regards, Bob.
bojan 0 Posted March 7, 2012 Any ideas? I'm stucked. I tried to swap boards (top one) accross Pacom & Costar cameras, and they are compatible, but system dows not change. Same problem. Is NTSC/PAL system built in camera itself or in circuit board where DIP switches are?
