highjoke 0 Posted March 7, 2012 Hello, I am planning to buy a new rotary hammer drill mostly for concrete, brick, masonry jobs (1/2,3/4, 1'' holes) for wiring and conduit installations. Have done a little research and found this model "Bosch 1 in. SDS Plus Rotary Hammer": http://www.boschtools.com/Products/Tools/Pages/BoschProductDetail.aspx?pid=11255VSR Just wondering if somebody knows anything about it and can share the opinion. Thank you in advance.
camera-newbie 0 Posted March 7, 2012 I've got one of it's slightly smaller and older cousins (mine is >10 years old I'm guessing) and use it on occasion and it's never failed me -- obviously noisy but works like a charm and built like a tank.. I've not found anything it couldn't drill through whether it be concrete, stucco, etc..
highjoke 0 Posted March 7, 2012 That's what I would need then. Thank you for response.
jxk716 0 Posted March 8, 2012 I just purchased the RH328VC in December. It is a life saver! With new bits it drills quickly and smoothly - very little vibration.
highjoke 0 Posted March 8, 2012 Does RH328VC has reverse ?
jxk716 0 Posted March 8, 2012 Does RH328VC has reverse ? Absolutely. The forward/reverse switch is on the bottom of the handle.
highjoke 0 Posted March 8, 2012 Not really sure if I need to spend 100$ more on RH328VC (299$ in Home Depot). The only difference I've found between those 2 models is Amperage and Blows per minute.
