rotary_inc 0 Posted March 8, 2012 Hi everyone new to the site, need help on purchasing a DVR security system Unfortunately i dont know that much about them (whats good/bad etc). only camera i have setup atm is a wireless IP cam via my router that i wish to get rid of as i dont want any wireless signals/connections in my house as im using a 3 port homeplugs in differnt rooms within the house for network access the house is currently a shell down to the floor board so no problem installing myself can anyone recommend a system for me limit £720 limit i have my own moniter Must have: DVR 500GB or more 8 Channel Video 4 indoor cams 4 outdoor cams night/day viewable internet / Mobile Phone Access examples below no idea if there good, i looked at a USA samsung one but the reviews slated it http://www.jmcsecurity.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=SYSTEM845 http://www.jmcsecurity.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=SYSTEM8411 any help would be great thanks Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
tomcctv 190 Posted March 8, 2012 BUMP hi. both systems you have listed are a bit on the high side in price. and they are the old dahua DVRs. not a big fan of buying all cameras the same. internal and external will proform in differant ways. where are you based. ? rotary_inc 0 Posted March 8, 2012 BUMP hi. both systems you have listed are a bit on the high side in price. and they are the old dahua DVRs. not a big fan of buying all cameras the same. internal and external will proform in differant ways. where are you based. ? yup i have no idea on what good and whats not, the cameras will only need to cover max distance of 20ft internal or external. im based in cumbria in the lake district no good shops that sell them round here only pre packaged expensive and low quality. tomcctv 190 Posted March 8, 2012 please dont buy from ebay. if you have that sort of money to spend you want at least a warranty and support. the units you have listed, samsung ....... its out of your region you need to be PAL and not NTSC avtech (swann) is very low budget ...... type avtech into search above and i think you will change your mind. the other listed are no name units. and over priced. look at dahua .... and you will be ok.
