I am a member at many forums and enjoy self educating in order to do many things myself that most people would not attempt. My wife and I are about two weeks from closing on our first home, and security is in the forefront of my mind. I plan on installing an IP based system connected to a PC based DVR mostly run over PoE. I am glad I found this forum and will educate myself the best I can.
