krassyg 0 Posted March 19, 2012 The camera I am poposing for a client for is rated down to -4 degrees Fahrenheit. The lowest average temperature in the area is listed at 20 degrees Fahrenheit. The lowest on record though is -15 degrees Fahrenheit. Should I be looking at a heated enclosure with a blower? The camera is Vivotek IP8362.
camera-newbie 0 Posted March 19, 2012 There was a thread on here a week or two ago IIRC talking about a camera that was in something like -30F well below the rated temps without heater as I recall... I don't recall the specifics though.. I'm sure others wil chime in, but a heater would probably be a good idea if you're able to have one...
krassyg 0 Posted March 21, 2012 So how should I determine if a heater is necessary? spec the camera at the lowest average, or lowest on record?
