ericc972 0 Posted March 22, 2012 HELLO.. I have a ptz camera and it displays great images but when I pan or tilt it, the image gets distorted.. what may be the cause for this distortion?.. the cables and wires are properly isolated and the cable run is about 20mts.. i am using cable awg20 for the rs485 commands.. tomcctv 190 Posted March 22, 2012 hi. sounds like you dont have enough power to your camera. (amps) with no movement it would be ok but as soon as you call for a motor to operate it is draining power.
ericc972 0 Posted March 24, 2012 HELLO TOMCCTV.. THANK YOU FOR YOUR FEEDBACK.. I TRIED USING A 2AMP POWER SUPPLY BUT THE PROBLEM REMAINED.. FINALY I REMEMBERED THAT I NORMALLY WIRE CAMERAS USING THE COAXIAL GROUND TO SEND THE POWER GROUND, I ADDED AN EXTRA WIRE TO SEND THE POWER GROUND SEPARATEDLY AND THIS FIXED THE PROBLEM.. I APPRECIATE YOUR HELP AND TIME..
