Why can't I get my Swann DVR h.264 to email me?

Hello,

 

I have a swann h.264 DVR. I've gone throught the manual and set up the email to send me emails at GMAIL. I've tested the email and the DVR will send emails. But, it will not send me emails with photos when motion is detected. I know that motion is detected because the buzzer alarm goes off on the dvr when there is movement. Is GMAIL blocking the messages? Anyone else have the same issue?

What is the complete model number of the DVR? Some of the Swann units are toys and do not even have an e-mail alert feature. Some have text alerts, but do not forward snapshots. It all depends on the model that you have.
