jlm722 0 Posted March 27, 2012 Ok friends, I am about to pull my hair out! I have an 8 channel dvr from wolfcom technologies. Model WL8DVR. I have this in my business. I am very familiar with all the settings. I can view images just fine from my mobile phone, and from the internet on a remote pc. However, I can NOT access the dvr from a pc on the local network (same as the dvr). I used to be able to access it just fine, then one day, outta the blue, nothing! Here is what I get: i can type in the address to the dvr, it comes up and says: this website wants to install the following add on:DvrOcx.cab from 'Shenzhen GIEC electronics co.,ltd' if you trust...... so I click "install addon", then I'm promted with a box that says: Internet Explorer - Security Warning / Do you want to install this software? Name:DvrOcx.cab (Install) or (Don't Install). I click (Install). A little tiny box appears in the top left corner with some generic colored icon in it, and it says "Done" at the bottom left in the status bar, with an exclamation mark on it. But the player NEVER appears. If I click the "Done" status, I get a window in the middle of the screen that looks like this: Message: 'document.getElementById(...)' is null or not an object Line: 92 Char: 19 Code: 0 URI: http://192.168.1.65/play.html Message: 'dvr' is undefined Line: 50 Char: 2 Code: 0 URI: http://192.168.1.65/play.html Message: 'dvr' is undefined Line: 55 Char: 2 Code: 0 URI: http://192.168.1.65/play.html I am using Internet explorer 8. As far as I know, NOTHING changed. I just attempted to log in an pull up a video, and could no longer access it. PLEASE HELP!!!
jxk716 0 Posted March 27, 2012 I don't have much to offer other than making sure your active X prompts are enabled in IE (custom security settings), you are running IE as an administrator and in compatibility mode.
jlm722 0 Posted March 27, 2012 Thanks for your reply. I am running everything as you pointed out. As I said before, I made no changes. It was working perfect then all of a sudden, it stopped launching the player.
