Out of focus on Loftek sentinel IP camera?

Recommended Posts

I have kept Loftek sentinel D1 IP camera for few weeks. But I found that it works very well, except a problem.

The thing is out of focus. How to solve this?

The markings on the lens indicate it's a varifocal - there should be two of those small screws on the lens: one to adjust the zoom (barrel is usually marked "W" for wide at one end and "T" for tele at the other), one to adjust the focus (often marked "N" and "F" for near and far). Loosen the appropriate screw counter-clockwise enough so you can turn the barrel, then lock the screw down again.

I tried your method on Loftek sentinel but it doesn't work...Anyway, thanks so much for your help.

I hope I can help you a little.

If there is still no live video after runing ActiveX,please try to enable the ActiveX options of IE security settings.

If it still does not work, please close your anti-virus software and do it again.

Hope it can help you.

Define "doesn't work"? Can you not turn the zoom or focus barrels? Do the lock screws not loosen? Do the barrels turn but won't achieve focus?

This camera comes with "optimum focus range that has been set before it is delivered out

of the factory. If you turn the lens, it may cause incorrect focus and vague images", but it is 3x optical zoom camera.

So if i get it right - you can remote zoom but no autofocus? How bad is that?

Oh, I get it. I just look up the instruction of Loftek sentinel IP camera and found that what you said is the same to the instructions.

Thanks so much. You remind me that I should study it first.

I wonder whether I should reset the setup and will get the default parameter.

Thanks.
