Avtech KPD675ZC Questions

Hi,

 

I've just purchased a Avtech KPD675ZC-C to replace my Maplins CNM Secure DVR.

 

First impressions are good but I have a few questions / issues which I would really appreciate some help with:

 

1, Firmware - My current firmware version is 1008-1004-1004-1001. Is there a newer version for the KPD675ZC-C? If where can I download it?

 

2, Remote access - I'm having strange issue with connection to the DVR over the Internet. I'm using the Eagleeye iPhone app and can connect to the DVR on the internal network with no issues. I have port forwarding and DDNS setup but can not connect. I know that the DDNS is working as it resolves to my external IP and I can prove port forwarding on my router is OK as I can connect to the Web interface of my NAS as a test with no issues but I can not connect to the DVR externally. I am forwarding to port 80 on the DVR, but I have tried trying changing the DVR port in the network settings but it has not helped. Is there any known issues with the Avtech KPD675ZC-C? I had no issues with my Maplins CNM Secure DVR and remote conectivty..

Right sorted out my remote access issue. Total user error, a typo in the gateway ip address...only took me 2 days to figure it out. Duh

 

Anyone know where I can find out the latest version of firmware for the KPD675ZC?
