I'm interested in how you use these in a Cat5e video installation and why? How do they help? Do they just keep things neat and tidy? What if you need to use two or three pairs of the cat5e to power the camera...would you bypass the wiring block?

Never used a 66 block for cameras, but I've used BIX and 110 blocks to terminate and/or extend runs... no reason a 66 wouldn't work just as well (just not as compact).

We use a 66 Block for our telcom connections but we also run 24 VAC (over 1 pair) to ceiling microphones about 70 feet away. The audio pair then terminates on the 66 and extends to the phone system (PBX) so we can listen in through the phones (well we were supposed to listen through the phones but the mics do not jive well with the PBX despite being told they would).

Also, on the same 66, we have all pairs of another Cat5 terminated on the block for the DVR's KVM. That wire is terminated to an RJ-45 and a patch cable is used from the wall to the remote monitor. No problem with video at all.
