aaron427 0 Posted April 17, 2012 I need to burn a cd for the police department and I can't get the video to play in Windows media player. I downloaded the section, and camera I wanted but when I try to view it on a computer it will not play. Looks like an issue with a imm4 codec? It works fine in the remote agent software (which is how I located the clip I needed) Any suggestions or help would be great. I believe ours is the dhu508r 8 channel. groovyman 0 Posted April 17, 2012 You can find the software for that model here: http://www.digimerge.com/support/discontinued/ There's a codec download there also. Just search the page for your model number and you'll find all the downloads for it. Does the playback software have a convert tool where you can convert the native format to avi or mpg? I haven't used Digimerge software, so I'm not familiar with it. Hopes this helps some.
tomcctv 190 Posted April 17, 2012 i. you will need the client software to open view your files. you will also need to give a copy of your client to the police with your footage. download it direct to pc from this link if you dont have the cd that came with your unit. http://www.digimerge.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/DigiClient-v2.14.11-for-the-DHU500R-Series.zip
videoVIP 0 Posted April 17, 2012 It might be easier to copy or "burn" the clip to a USB thumb-drive directly from the unit. Typically, Digimerge DVR's will add a copy of the required player to the thumb-drive along with the video. Then, just hand the thumb-drive over to the po-po. Saves a lot of frustration! Edit: It looks like the DHU500 will convert files to .avi for you during the burning process (see page 42): http://www.digimerge.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/DHU500_Series_MANUAL_EN.pdf
