Powerline w/ poe

Sorry if this has been brought up.... but does any know of an ethernet over powerline adapter that has integrated poe?

I'm not sure why it would be needed.

 

I assume if you have a power line you already have power, you can't send 48volts down 120vac line, but you can put any normal PSU at the end of the 120vac line and get 48volts.

I think he's thinking of the remote (camera) end of the adapter - it would make sense to have it put PoE on the jack where you're plugging the camera in.

I see, just need a PoE injector. I guess I could see integrating an injector into the end line device.

I found that too. Was unable to find a US distributor. The sales/ support emails for that manufacturer come back rejected.

 

I have a special application with a limited footprint to work with... would sure be nice if I didn't have to try and cram an injector on top of a powerline adapter in the small space.

Logitech has such a thing, powerline with poe, they use it for their alert system.
