ataone 0 Posted May 15, 2012 It lets you create limits or "rules" on the camera pan tilt and zoom functions to avoid focusing on objects which are closer than others. This feature is mainly used with Auto Focus cameras. If you are recording over a cash register towards a door in a convenience store and dont want the camera to focus on the register/employee in front of the camera and instead focus on customers who walk in the door, you would use near focus limit to ignore whats in front of it and focus on whats further away.
