piano0011 0 Posted May 6, 2012 Hello! I have bought the following cameras: http://www.chinatronics.com.au/wireless-ip-security-camera-cvwv-i212-with-ptz-control-and-auto-iris-lens-waterproof-nightvision-wifi/ I would like to install some of these for outdoor and indoor. However, I do have limited switches and I am wondering how would I go about in connecting these cameras without the need of having too many cables connecting to the router? Perhaps, I should have bought an POE cameras but they do cost more right? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!
dvarapala 0 Posted May 8, 2012 Since it's a WiFi camera, you won't have any wires going to your router. Problem solved.
saferguard 0 Posted May 18, 2012 Hi, you can use a bur-transiter for your cameras. If the power adapter's cable is not long enough, please buy an exten power cable for it. When you use a POE camera, your router must support the POE function. And need to buy an extra POE switch for it. So buy a POE camera will be much expensive. Since it's a WiFi camera, you won't have any wires going to your router. Problem solved. Pretty much. Have fun getting all that to work... I wouldn't have paid more than $20 for those cameras.
