Destro hi. HD need a HD recorder. so you cant add them to you NV5000. but you can add upto 5MP ip camera to your system. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Soundy 1 Posted May 9, 2012 Yeah, you're probably talking about SDI (serial digital interface) cameras, some of which use the trade name "HDcctv". It's a new-ish implementation of an older broadcast standard, and yes, it requires a different type of recorder. Note that these cameras don't go beyond 1080p, which is 2MP - as Tom notes, your system will handle IP cams up to 5MP. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
