dexidle 0 Posted May 28, 2012 My client's requirement for CCTV recording as follows: 1. 50 days recording playback (600++ panasonic ip cams, some 24hrs record, some alarm based recording) 2. 3 months video archive (600++ panasonic ip cams) -- new requirement Recording solution is Panasonic NVR WJ ND-400 & ND-300 plus with a lot of Panasonic WJ-HDE storage extension to meet the requirement #1. Recently our client set new requirement #2 for the existing implementation. We're thinking to setup NAS storage rather than install more Panasonic NV plus with additional Panasonic WJ HDE storage extension which will require us to rearrange the existing racks for the equipments (require more racks to be installed at current room which has no more space) . What we're thinking now is whether to setup dual recording (Panasonic NVR + PC Based software record on NAS) or looking some solution to channel out the recording on Panasonic NVR to NAS. Hope you guys can give some advice on this..
ssmith10pn 0 Posted May 28, 2012 Well if they were Windows Servers you could use ISCSI or HPA but this looks like your pretty much cornered.
