PEJ 0 Posted June 5, 2012 Hi Guys, First time poster - I've got a Pelco D protocol dome camera which runs off RS485 joypad at present. However I'm now purchasing a new Prokam 8 Chn DVR recorder which has RS485 built in to allow remote control of the camera via the web interface (groovy!)... However I wouldn't really want to lose my joypad either. Is the a way to have my cake and eat it too by connecting the joypad and the DVR onto the same control cable and retain the ability to control the camera using either device? I thought it would be just a case of joining the A cables together and then then the B cables too, however knowing things like I do, not all can be that simple?! Thanks in advance! DWCCTV 0 Posted June 6, 2012 Hello Pete, It actually should be that easy. Just make sure you split the cable from the cable and not jump from your controller to the DVR. They can both send signals to the same camera just not at the same time. If this does not work, let me know I will do some testing as well. Thank you, George Boyle Dallas Wholesale CCTV

Thanks again, Pete Hi Just jumping in and would like to ask you about your Prokam setup. If you look at my latest post I need a little help with my Prokam Pro8001, on time set and email alerts. You may have an easy way of setting this up. I would appreciate your help, as you have the same unit as me. Thanks. Alan
