CSG 0 Posted September 30, 2005 I have a Watec 902B hi-res low lux monochrome camera, 1/2" format. Bought it a few years ago and never used it. What sucks is that it uses video iris only. A 1/2 varifocal video iris lens costs $350. You think it's worth it or should I just ebay the camera and get rid of it?
cctv_down_under 0 Posted September 30, 2005 What sort of zoom are you after, it should not be that expensive for a video drive lens, most people give them away these days
CSG 0 Posted October 1, 2005 well 8 x 48mm would be nice, but typically i shy away from any lens slower than F1.
rory 0 Posted October 1, 2005 Unless you have somewhere to use it, id sell it off .. could be useful though in an IR app .. you're right those lenses arent cheap ..
spytown 0 Posted October 2, 2005 the Lens Mount: CS-mount/C-mount for the wat-902b there are some a/i varifocal full video lenses that would not be that expensive, here is one from CBC AMERICA (Computar) http://www.cbcamerica.com/cctvprod/computar/vari/vari_pdf/HG3Z4512AFCS.pdf 4.5-12.5mm F1.
