Barryvdw 0 Posted June 19, 2012 Hi Guys Hardware: 4 x 22x PTZ (http://www.digitalwitness.co.za/PDF_files/C-SD8120.pdf) 2 x 10x PTZ (http://www.digitalwitness.co.za/HTML/CSD10X.htm) 1 x Controller (http://www.digitalwitness.co.za/PDF_files/KB55.pdf) 1 x Dahua 32 Channel DVR (http://www.dahuasecurity.com/English/product_info.aspx?type=354&&css=1&&id=176) Ok so all PTZ work when i just connect the A+ together and the B- together and put them into the controller. I can switch between cameras and control the various cameras. All cams work when i do the same setup to the DVR But when I connect the controller and the DVR together to the cams, the DVR is not able to control the PTZ's anymore. THe Controller is hwoever able to control the cams in this setup. I need to be able to have both the DVR and the KB controller control the PTZ's Any suggestions ? Normally i connect my system like below: First set protocol and baund rate (the same), id (differen) then. connect RS485 pair cable of each PTZ camera into only pair cable into DVR through RS485+/RS485- slot. then using a cable from dvr to keyboard controller. Is it daisy chained or star chained? Does the PTZ controller have a junction box with multiple connections or does it only offer 1 RS-485 port? How are you connecting the PTZs from your DVR?
