albertrivera 0 Posted June 21, 2012 I got a PTZ camera from E-bay, generic IR High Speed Dome that uses Pelco-D protocal. Im using a Geovision DVR card on it, I got the camera to work just fine, I was able to get into the on screen menu and change settings on the camera, no problem, but like an idiot, I changed the baud rate up to 38400 up from 9600 and now I have a baud conflict & cannot get back into the on screen menu to change it. The camera manual says to to load factory settings to call 100 presetting bits, but I can't get any commands to respond on the camera. Do I need to do a manual reset on the camera? How is that done? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Albert
albertrivera 0 Posted June 22, 2012 I took a look at the board and there are no DIP switches, all the settings are controlled by OSD. Does anyone have any ideas on how to reset back to factory settings? I have tried everything I can think of. The problem is that non of the pelco protocols in the geovision go up to 38400 for baud rate. Please any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Albert
tomcctv 190 Posted June 22, 2012 hi. can you post a image or details of your PTZ.
albertrivera 0 Posted June 25, 2012 Well I solved the problem. I downloaded a program called PTZ control, I was able to set baud rate on the program to 38400, invoked preset 100 that resets to factory setting, and the camera baud rate went back to factory setting of 2400. I now have control of the camera again. Thanks for your reply and interest in helping. Albert
