Can anyone guide me? If it is overpriced, can you suggest an alternative to this that works out cheaper ? http://www.jmcsecurity.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=PROPLUS444 700TVL 4 x Vari-Focal Camera Full D1 40M IR Day / Night Networked System with Smart Phone Access & DVD-RW 1000gb dvr £995 approx Thanks very much Joe. Joe Shmoe 0 Posted June 23, 2012 Look, I have found the same thing (but with dome cameras) for only £525etc Not that I really know what I am doing, but it doesn't say at what frame-rate the DVR can record 4 cameras at? I thought for best picture you need at least 7fps ? Will this machine do it ? http://www.aban.co.uk/4x-13-sony-700tvl-28-12mm-varifocal-lens-cctv-cameras---4-channel-h264-dvr---complete-cctv-kit-2255-p.asp Thanks guys! Joe Shmoe 0 Posted June 23, 2012 Hi Tom. Okay, I see what you mean. The DVR is just a re-branded budget make ? http://www.buythis.co.uk/open_product.asp?pid=5396&catId=58&source=Froogle So I should go for a dahua DVR, but my choice of cameras is okay? Am I right in thinking that some of these websites constructing these 4-cam kits etc, so they can chuck a really rubbish DVR in with say Sony cameras to fool you into thinking you're getting something great by trading off the sony name ?
