habusho 0 Posted June 25, 2012 Hi everyone, I used this forum a few years back and purchased a CPCam 501m for our business. Well, after removing the hard drive to try to replace it, it doesn't accept any new hard drives and seems to have. It does output video but doesn't record anymore. I was wondering what a good DVR would be for a 6ch possibly 8ch in the future setup? Should I stick with AvTech\CpCam again? I kind of don't feel too great about them after this thing died on us. Any help would be appreciated.
Numb-nuts 1 Posted June 27, 2012 Haven't used one yet but the QVIS Discovery Shangri-La looks like a well featured unit for the money (on paper anyway). Alternatively any of the QVIS Apollo or Zeus range are good quality and very popular.
Soundy 1 Posted June 27, 2012 Where are you located? If you're in North America, I'd suggest looking up the Dahua brand. They have 8-channel DVRs ranging from around $150 to $450.
