yakky 0 Posted July 10, 2012 I can't provide direct feedback on those, but just wanted to say there is a lot of items that upsample CIF to D1. Best idea is to buy from somewhere with a liberal return policy.

fifi11 0 Posted July 12, 2012 Hi, I have contacted the chinese usb dvr seller and they all acknowledge that the dvr uses upsampling . Can someone tell me about D1 upsampled video quality in comparison with D1 and CIF . Is it worth using 520 tv lines cameras with an upsampler ? Thanks for your advices , Cédric
fifi11 0 Posted July 15, 2012 Chinese sellers have sent me a short D1 upsampled video . Actually it is ok to recognize someone's face at 2/3 meters . Quality is pretty good and the price low . In comparison with the 380 tvl cctv camera with CIF videos encoding I've used , it is far better .
yakky 0 Posted July 15, 2012 Upsampling plain and simple is a waste of space. You get no additional quality, it just uses more space.
