Eugene71 0 Posted July 13, 2012 This must be another branding nightmare. So, I have got "Qvis Zeus HD LX 4 Channel" aka "Qvis LXZEUSHD-4" aka "Qvis Apollo" aka "Qvis Atlantis Discovery". This unit has a TCP (aka "Media") port 34567 and the Mobile Monitor port of 34599. I then downloaded and tried various versions of Dahua PSS (4.03, 4.04, 4.06). My PC is running Windows 7 32-bit and is on the same LAN as the DVR so no port forwarding is involved. Adding my DVR and trying to log in produces the "login failed (timeout)" error. Should I change the port number, the error changes to "host not found", so it looks like PSS is talking to the right port, but fails for some reason. I tried turning Windows firewall off to no avail. Remote access via http works fine. Now, the mobile android app works fine using the 34599 port and the same user name as I tried for PSS. It is worth mentioning though that the dealer (securitycameraagent) points to "Apollo Client" app for Apollo and Zeus DVR, I purchased this app and it does NOT work with this DVR! I then googled further and found that there is a different "Discovery Client" mobile app, I purchased it too, and that one works. This suggests the underlying protocol is different between these models, and the same likely applies to PSS and that's why the one from Dahua does not work... So... is there is specific branded PSS which would work with my DVR or am I out of luck? Thanks!
tomcctv 190 Posted July 13, 2012 "Qvis Atlantis Discovery". Hi. the discovery range are NOT apollos (dahuas) it is there own budget range
Eugene71 0 Posted July 13, 2012 Well, for what it is worth, on securitycameraagent.com it is listed under Standalone DVRs -> Apollo DVRs, and the flyer for it has the same picture as the unit I have got, the flyer title though is ZEUS HD LX (securitycameraagent.com/files/LXZEUSHD-qvis.pdf) while the unit package box says Discovery Atlantis. Function-wise the unit seems to match the flyer, price-wise for $300+ it is not exactly budget... So I don't know. I asked their tech support the same question, let's see what comes out of it. tomcctv 190 Posted July 13, 2012 Hi. i looked at the website and none of them is a dahua. so you cant use there apps. this is the problem with some band names ....... they can change software but still keep the case the same. but what you have bought is qvis own make DVR and has nothing to do with qvis dahua rebrand
alarmrepairman 0 Posted July 20, 2012 Hi, Dont know if this helps but the LX range of Qvis DVRs wont currently work on PSS. They use CMS software instead which isnt as good. They also have a different app labelled Apollo LX.

alarmrepairman 0 Posted July 26, 2012 PSS software has been distributed with Qvis products for some time. Just recent confusion over new ranges of DVRs that don't work with it.

poj2000 0 Posted January 29, 2014 i have a evis izues mk2 and have also been having problems with apps. i have found at my exspence that only some of the apps work after a lot of messing around if found that the evis app works stright away but the idiscovery app does not. untill i used the suggested port number in eugene71's post of 34599. now the discovery app works fine. it was pure luck i stumbled across the post here and would never have worked out that i should be using this port number 34599 on the app as it is different from the port saved in the dvr. no mention of using this port number anywhere else, but it worked staight away. i cannot get iapollo to work still and none of the free apps seem to work. thanks eugune71 on a side note the evis izues mk2 instructs are very poor and the cd rom they supply is a copy with no writing on the disc. when you call up they will not give any support unless you have an account. for the money the dvr's cost you would at least think these things could be improoved. fire5tar 0 Posted February 16, 2014 For QVIS Zsus/Atlantis/Discovery/LX (I think its actually a Discovery/LX) horrific lack of naming on the box or the unit. Android and iPhone "MEye" is the only free app I've found that works, with default "Mobile Port" (Advanced>Net Services) 34599 and "Media Port" (Advanced>Network) 34567 On a PC the CMS software as said above is the only working remote software as well, but you do have the web browser as a get out of jail free on that side! http://www.adata.co.uk/downloads/lxdiscoveryremoteviewing.aspx Home this helps took me and my house mate 4 hours to crack and our day job is networking with an ISP... mental configuration/bug ridden auth code PS. make sure you set a password other than 'blank' (NULL) on the user account you login with.
