bentech 1 Posted July 16, 2012 Hi , I just post a topic concerning a problem with CCTV video signal that was too low to split signal at the end. http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=31374 I was using passive baluns. (GE-BLNSTPT2) Can I use active baluns but powered at one end only ? (not the camera side) Also , what about impedance (75 ohms). After using the baluns , signal is splitted to a DVR and a monitor. Do I need to put any type of termination ? Thanks...
Soundy 1 Posted July 16, 2012 Can I use active baluns but powered at one end only ? (not the camera side) Yes. Also , what about impedance (75 ohms). After using the baluns , signal is splitted to a DVR and a monitor. Shouldn't matter - a two-way split will cause a minor loss of quality, but it shouldn't be substantial. Do I need to put any type of termination ?No.
bentech 1 Posted July 16, 2012 Tks for the reply. Any suggestion of the active baluns that I can use (powered on one side only) ? Anything compatible with the baluns that I have , GE-BLNSTPT2 ? Do I need to change them on both sides ?
