TFiebig 0 Posted July 19, 2012 I just purchased a couple of VBM-24VF's and I thought that they were basically the VCM-24VF without the lower housing/spacer. However, the VBM-24VF does not have the 3 1/4" protusion on the bottom that would be recessed in the mounting surface. Are these two models the same camera internally? If so, why does the VCM-24VF has that 3 1/4" extrusion? Are there any advantages to having the VCM-24VF when flush mounting? It looks like one wouldn't need to cut a 3 1/4" mounting hole with the VBM. Thoughts or comments?
jxk716 0 Posted July 19, 2012 I have all VBMs with conduit running to the camera; I should have purchased the VCMs mainly because there is more space in the included back box for wire hook ups. After installing VCMs I don't believe there is a difference with image quality - its the same camera just fitted for different mounts.
