34Ford 0 Posted October 7, 2005 Are these wired sensors typically whats used to have a motion sensor run to your dvr? http://homesecuritystore.com/ezStore123/DTProductList.asp?p=2_1_1_1_0_0_193 I picked this site just for ideas. You really dont see many cctv sites selling them. I just want to have that extra insurance that one spot is recorded whether the camera triggers it or not. scottj 0 Posted October 7, 2005 yep...standard motion sensor can be used. Ademco is probably one of the least costs. scottj
Jasper 0 Posted December 3, 2005 Did you end up getting some sensors? What did you get and how is it working out for you?
34Ford 0 Posted December 5, 2005 I bought a sensor at Lowes yesterday that you buy to add motion to flood lights. So far it is working with it temporarly sitting on top of the dvr. I have the sensor set on TEST so it triggers as long as you are in front of it and times out after about 3 seconds which is working just the way I want it. Only drawback is it needs AC run to it. Which brings up the question why not just pay more money and buy a battery operated sensor. Anyway I believe this will work better than all the false MOTION recordings Im getting. I mean why record leaves and rain and this one I hate, spider webs.
