richclancey 0 Posted July 24, 2012 Hi all, This issue is perplexing me. I currently have a Digital Video Multiplexer Recorder (Ethernet) set up with 16 cameras in my companies security setup. They all connect to the DVMre and the feeds can be viewed through Wavereader 4.2. It is an internal IP that i'm using to connect to the device. until recently the feeds came in just fine on wavereader. But all of a sudden yesterday strange things began to happen. For one, The connectivity is really bad when trying to use wavereader to connect up. I will get an error message that reads "Unable to connect to the unit at this time..." But sometimes i will be able to connect to the IP (Which i can Ping no problem) but the problem is when it connects i will have zero feeds being displayed. and even when it is connected with no feeds the connection will drop at random with a message about lost communication, make sure unit is powered up. This is a really frazzling problem seeing as it was working one day and the next day it all stops working. I have found NO reference material online in regards to this problem. If you're going to suggest port forwarding over port 1024, well i tried all that already but it won't make a difference, I'm doing this all off of an internal network. The DVMre has a 192.168 address. I can ping it but can't connect to it??????? where is the logic in that help would be appreciated.
richclancey 0 Posted July 24, 2012 I've read that this could be caused by a power supply issue? how would i be able to pinpoint that as the problem without buying a new one?
