mike300 0 Posted October 9, 2005 I'm looking to install some Panasonic WV-CW474A dome cameras in a suspended grid ceiling with tiles. I noticed there is a flush mount and a surface mount version of this camera. What version should I get and what's the best way to mount them? Thanks!
VST_Man 1 Posted October 9, 2005 surface mount......use 1/8 inch plywood, cut to size of the dome, drill a 3/4 hole in the middle, place wood on the roof side of the tile. provides support, nice screw hold, and is not heavy. flush mount.........I don't install unless the client asks, then I charge more for labor to do it. messy and a pain to do........and if the model you just installed is discontinued, and it will be, you have to find a replacement for that hole, replace the tile, ect. spytown 0 Posted October 10, 2005 I would have to agree and suggest using the "s" surface mount version. remember the "s" version may cost a few dollars extra, but is worth it. This version has the back surface mount plate included in the box. Therefore it is really the "F" with a surface mount plate back that can come off.
