hennity 0 Posted July 30, 2012 Can anyone explain to a newbie in the cctv field the qualities of leads etc foe me please ? i have been using pcb board camera that i find are low profile and with the right lens cover all the areas i need for my home,some ive got also capable of 940nm but a lead was broken and when i opened the lead up it was a very cheap and nasty job that came with the camera,i read that lead are supposed to be shielded but this was just a shared negative earth lead twisted in a very crude fashion round the video lead, i have tried to repair it but the picture is very dark now,much darker than it used to be and i dont know where to get these small connector leads,what did i do? can someone explain about leads and if shielding makes any difference please ?
