daveredding 0 Posted August 4, 2012 Hi Guys. Just about to throw my DVR out of the Window. Spent far to many hours on this and hope someone can help. It must be something simple I am missing. I have done several of these with different DVR's and have never had problems. I have a Gemini 4 Channel. Badged chinese model sold through CCTV direct. Connected to router and on my LAN. IP address 192.168.1.209. This was assigned by the DHCP, but I have now turned this off, so it stays the same. TCP port I have set as 34567 and the HTTP port set at 8080 When I open Internet Explorer on my network and type 192.168.1.209:8080, I get straight in and can see cameras and change settings. But not on port 34567. I have one of the new Orange Brightboxes, which shows the DVR is connected with that IP along with main computer and my Blackberry. I have Pinged the DVR and it was succesful The only real options under NAT settings on the router are Address mapping, Port forwarding, Port Triggers and mapping table. I have turned of the firewall temporarily I have opened up Ports 8080 and 34567 for both TCP and UDP on ip address, and have tested these. They both show as open on yougetsignal. This is where my problems start. On my PC I then try to get in using my current IP address, which does change, but I also have DYNDNS which updates using DYN Updater. Using Explorer within my network and away from home and trying on both my current IP and using my dyndns ie http://2.??.66.???:8080, I am not getting through to the DVR on either port. I am also having an identical problem with the same DVR on a Virgin Router. Any help would be really appreciated on this and I look forward to being pointed in the right direction. Thanks Forgot to mention, Using my DYNDNS, I have no problems getting to my router and logging in.
