help reinstalling/new hard drive

Recommended Posts

Hi

My hard drive crashed, and I installed a new one. Then, reinstalled windows xp. Now, Im not sure how to get my geovision to work. I have a GV600-16 card, but no software cd. A local company originally did the install a few years ago. I tried to take the card out then put it back in, hoping the computer would "recognize new program" but that did not work.

I emailed geovision, but their reply was to get back to me in 2-3 days. Im trying to save money by fixing this myself since we are on a tight budget right now. Any advice and input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

It shouldn't cost any more to reinstall the software - normally you'd fill out the form on the GV website, provide the serial number of the card, and they'll give you a link to download the software.

Soundy, Thanks. I didnt see any form I could fill out on their site, but Im going to go look around some more. When I emailed them, I did have to fill out the info on my gv card and hopefully they will reply by Monday or Tuesday.

i think rory has the geovision software on this site.

as long as you have the card information you should be able to download the software today.

hi all

I just wanted to post that I did get the download from Geovision. They verified my card and emailed me a link, which was also an upgrade from my current version. Thank you guys for your help!
